OneLight Spectra at Photonics West and SPIE BIOS Exhibition.

With booths at the 2007 Photonics West conference and SPIE BIOS Exhibition held January 20-25, OneLight™ will officially launch its OneLight Spectra – marking the first-ever public showcase of Spectrally Programmable Light Engine (SPLE) technology for Molecular Discovery, Cellular Research and Patient Care applications.

A major departure from filter wheels, filter changers and, most importantly, expensive optical filters currently in use, OneLight Spectra represents a major evolution in digital light engine technology – making it possible to instantly control the spectrum, intensity and duration of light via software, replacing the limiting, costly and time-consuming process of sourcing multiple hardware components to achieve specific illumination needs.

“Having thoroughly tested OneLight Spectra for a number of applications with research and clinical partners, we couldn’t be more pleased by the results” says Nick Mackinnon – President, CEO and Founder of OneLight. “What we have here is a cost-effective, Spectrally Programmable Light Engine that will grant researchers and healthcare professionals the power to control light precisely, instantly and dynamically – a freedom they’ve never had before.”

OneLight looks forward to demonstrating their OneLight Spectra at BIOS booth #8643 and Photonics West, South Hall booth #6293.
