OneLight was launched in 1997 with a specific purpose in mind - to research, design and produce innovative technologies of exceptional utility and unprecedented capability in the field of life science.

As founders of the Spectrally Programmable Light Engine (SPLE) category, Nick MacKinnon and Dr. Ulrich Stange are the key figures behind OneLight. Both are established innovators in medical device and life science instruments; applying their knowledge and breadth of vision to unique technological advancements in this rapidly expanding field.

Their pioneering spirit is made all the more possible through well-established relationships with top researchers in medical photonics at leading universities, by clinical research centers and at the US National Institute of Health (NIH).

Moving forward, we will continue to improve the way molecules, cells, tissues and living organisms are illuminated by developing the most innovative and cost-effective light sources in the market today.
